To strengthen our team in Belgium we are looking for a Data Analyst who will work within an enthusiastic, ambitious and welcoming Data & AI team.
As a Data Analyst at Decathlon, you will work closely with the marketing, e-commerce and digital teams to provide strategic insights that will drive business decisions and optimize results.
Your main responsibilities will be :
Identification of business analytical problems:
Intuit, collect and challenge analytical needs.
Precisely understand business issues and translate them analytically.
Collect the gain/value estimate and challenge the relevance of each subject to be addressed.
Implement a rigorous exploratory approach:
Identify relevant data sources available.
Prevent and identify risks, biases, incompleteness of the analysis.
Formulate hypotheses and propose reasoning validating or invalidating these hypotheses.
Solve analytical problems:
Extract then transform the data.
Create new indicators/tables adapted to the subject.
Return results in a graphic form allowing the business to explore the answer.
Return analyses with clarity and transparency:
Synthesize information to make them accessible.
Present the results of the analyses in the form of data visualizations used by the business/requester.
Suggest and support the implementation of recommendations.
Document, share your work with your peers to make it reusable, replicable, adaptable.
a bachelor or master degree in engineering, informatics or statistics with a specialization in data engineering, big data or data science.
at least 3 years' experience in a data analyst position. You're passionate about digital and have an analytical mind and a real appetite for numbers.
the knowledge in most common programming languages for data analysis (SQL, Python, SAS).
the proficiency in at least one dashboarding tool (Tableau, Google Data Studio / Looker Studio, Power BI etc...).
An experience with at least one of the main Cloud Environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Language : fluency in French and have a B2 level of English, important in the international context of this role. A basic knowledge of Dutch would be a plus.
the knowledge of AB testing strategy and logic
an experience with DataBricks and also a transformation tool like DBT would be a plus.
