YOUR MISSION

In order to decide on future directions for our rental business model we would like a detailed analysis on current stock management and multiple recommendations on how to improve this. Creating 1 sole algorithm that automatically decides on whether and when to keep or sell the rental stock is the final delivery of this internship. The definition of this algorithm takes into account many complex criteria who play an important role in the whole rental process. Evaluating these criteria, sorting them and in the meantime automating this decision making process is the core assignment for this internship.

Furthermore, you will work closely together with our international R&D product department (in house brands) on defining a clear data governance which continuously improves product quality.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who has a passion for sports and an interest in circular economy. A background in finance, stock management or finance is a bonus!

You need to be able to work independently and dare to ask for help when needed. You are very solution oriented and you deliver high quality work. You are not afraid of a complex intellectual challenge and to think outside of the box! You are analytical and are able to simplify complex problems into tangible results and recommendations.

You will be part of the sustainability and circular team of Decathlon Belgium. Remote work is possible but we would like to see you at least twice a week at our HQ in Brussels. After all, doing sports remotely is quite boring...
