YOUR MISSION

At Decathlon Marketplace, we are building a vibrant ecosystem that hosts a wide selection of sports products, services, and solutions from numerous sellers, enhancing our customers' shopping experience. To fuel this growth and ensure robust operations, we are looking for a highly motivated junior Financial Controller to strengthen our financial backbone.

You will guide countries through their leaders and financial partners to achieve growth and efficiency of the Marketplace in alignment with the vision and project objectives. With the support of the data team, you will identify growth levers that are exploratory, organic, and sustainable, while monitoring and reporting on achieved performances. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that strategic initiatives are data-driven, focusing on long-term success and operational excellence across the marketplace.

As our Marketplace Financial Controller, you will be a key player in ensuring the financial health and data accuracy of our marketplace operations. You will work closely with another Financial Controller to optimize financial processes, manage treasury and accounting, and implement robust controls to support our ambitious growth.

Your key responsibilites

Financial analysis expertise : You demonstrate ability to manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and generate detailed reports essential for strategic decision-making within organizations.You can identify variances from forecasts and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial goals are met effectively and efficiently.
Data Analytics Skills: Transformation of raw data into actionable insights, uncovering trends, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
Accounting & Treasury Management: Take responsibility for managing the accounting processes related to the Marketplace. Oversee and manage daily treasury operations.

YOUR PROFILE

You are proactive and curious with a strong passion for finance and data. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. You love challenges and embrace change and new challenges and you demonstrate good stress management skills. You have the ability to step back and grasp the bigger picture, understanding how financial details impact overall business strategy and have the ability to communicate and clearly articulate complex financial information.

Also, you have

Strong financial acumen with expertise in P&L management, forecasting, and performance analysis.
A strong affinity for data and solid proficiency in accounting principles.
Proficiency in Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Familiarity with Oracle ERP is a plus.
Languages: Fluency in English and French. Any other EU language is a plus.
